Results from a Comparative Case Study

Abstract

This article aims at describing the effects that result from school competitions, with a specific focus on those processes and effects that can be observed at the participating schools. Cornerstone for this work is a depth analysis of the school contest “Starke Schule” [“Strong Schools”]. The applied research approach is based on the development of case studies for the participating schools. Additionally, the data base comprises the results of standardized surveys of all participants as well as the submitted competition documentations.
