Abstract
The comparability of the German leaving certificate of lower secondary education (Mittlerer Schulabschluss) is always challenged by the connecting systems (e.g. training companies). Nevertheless, empirical evidence to confirm this is still pending. This paper focuses the comparability of this leaving certificate and presents results of a comparative study concerning the differing exit exam procedures in all German States.
