Abstract
Following economic concepts of degrowth and their critique of prevalent sustainability strategies, a problem of common concepts of education becomes apparent: Their self-improvement programs imply similar growth logics as the economic orders underlying the global ecological and social crisis dynamics. It is further instructive here to place the climate crisis in a common context with the care crisis. From the perspective of feminist economic critique on growth and (re)productivity, clues for a growth-critical reflection of discourses on education emerge.
