Abstract

Intercultural exchange is an important dimension of Global Education. Ongoing digitalization creates opportunities to enable virtual exchange experiences and thus overcome some of the limitations of traditional physical exchange. The paper presents Virtual Exchange as a didactical concept for Global Education in Primary Schools. Following this, transnationality and transdisciplinarity, problem- and action-orientation as well as critical reflection will be elaborated as relevant criteria to inspire the development of lesson concepts.
